Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Bangalore was established as a Food Craft Institute in 1969, offering short term courses. The college was renamed to its current name in 1983 and started offering 3 Year Degree in Hotel and Hospitality Administration. Today the institute is ranked one of the top institutes of Hotel Management in the country. The institute was jointly established by Government of India and Government of Karnataka.
