National Institute of Fashion Technology, Bhopal

NIFT Bhopal is a campus of the National Institute of Fashion Technology, a statutory institute under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The institute was founded in 1986, is governed by the NIFT Act 2006 and now has 20 campuses. The Bhopal centre was established in 2008 and began in a transit campus at MP Bhoj (Open) University on Kolar Road. In March 2022 it moved to its permanent campus of 29 acres on Bhopal Indore Bypass Road at Bhauri, about 20 km from Bhopal Junction and 10 km from Raja Bhoj International Airport. The campus lists 26 classrooms and laboratories for garment construction, pattern making, knitwear, weaving, dyeing and printing, besides an AR/VR lab, a photography studio and a resource centre.

The campus offers four-year undergraduate programmes: B.Des. in accessory design, fashion communication, fashion design, knitwear design and textile design, and B.F.Tech. in apparel production. The postgraduate programme is the Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M.), and the campus lists doctoral research areas such as fashion innovation, luxury and couture, and global retail fashion business. The 2026 seat matrix gives each of the seven programmes 34 regular seats and 7 Madhya Pradesh domicile seats, plus 3 supernumerary NRI seats. Admission is through the NIFT Entrance Examination, with registration from December 2025, the test on 8 February 2026 and seat allocation in May and June 2026.
