About NMKRV College for Women Bangalore NMKRV College for Women (NMKRV), Bangalore was established in 1971 as Pre-University College and became a Degree College in 1973. The college is granted autonomy by UGC and approved by the Government of Karnataka. NMKRV is affiliated to Bangalore University and accredited by NAAC with A grade. The college is managed by Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust. The college offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Since its inception, the college’s mission always has been to educate and enrich first generation learners to meet the challenges of the growing world. The founders believed in the ideal – Educating a girl child is like educating the entire family. This institution has managed to taste success in its endeavour to provide high quality education. Commencement of a great journey always happens in a humble manner and so it was for this organisation. A college that started with a meager strength of 150 students has grown as an edifice of educational excellence, with more than two thousand students and over one hundred and fifty faculty members. At present, the college offers twelve undergraduate courses, four integrated B.Ed courses, six post-graduate courses and two research centres. Education, Arts and Humanities, Sciences, Commerce, Education are among the streams from which courses are offered. Infrastructure at the institution is on par with the best in the country. College has lot of achievements to its credit. It has undertaken research and recorded a very impressive performance on the placement front.
