About The NorthCap University
The NorthCap University is a private university in Sector 23A, Gurugram, Haryana. Established in 1996 and formerly known as ITM University, it operates under the Haryana Private Universities Act, with its university status traced in the 2026-27 admission brochure to Haryana Act No. 25 of 2009 (third amendment). The University Grants Commission lists it under sections 2(f) and 12B, and the Bar Council of India recognises its law degrees. Teaching is organised into the School of Engineering and Technology (computer science, applied sciences, multidisciplinary engineering and the Centre for Media and Entertainment), the School of Management and Liberal Studies, the School of Law, the School of Business and the School of Life Sciences and Allied Health Sciences. Programmes include B.Tech in computer science with six specialisations, semiconductor design, and robotics and AI; BCA and MCA; M.Tech; BBA, B.Com (Hons), BA (Hons) and MA; BBA LL.B (Hons), LL.B and LL.M; media degrees; MBA; and Ph.D. Applicants qualify through JEE Main, CUET-UG or another national test, or sit the university's own entrance test; postgraduate routes use GATE, CUET-PG, CAT, GMAT and similar scores, followed by an interview.

Admission for 2026-27 follows the three stages in the university brochure: an online application with a non-refundable fee; selection, where applicants submit marks and qualifying-test scores online; and enrolment, with an offer letter issued after a personal interview and document verification, fee deposit within the offer-letter date and a four-week induction programme.
