Raghu Engineering College

Raghu Engineering College is a private, self-financing, co-educational engineering college at Dakamarri, Bheemunipatnam Mandal, about 25 minutes from the bus complex and railway station of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. The Raghu Educational Society runs it, and it was established in 2001 on a 50-acre campus. The college is permanently affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Gurajada Vizianagaram (JNTU-GV), is approved by AICTE, is recognised by the UGC under sections 2(f) and 12(B), and has been autonomous since 9 June 2017. NAAC accredited it at grade A (CGPA 3.06) in 2016 and re-accredited it at grade A+ (CGPA 3.35) in 2023, valid from 1 May 2023 to 30 April 2028.

The college offers nine four-year B.Tech programmes: Computer Science and Engineering, with Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Cyber Security and IoT variants, plus Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Civil Engineering. Its six two-year M.Tech programmes are in Computer Science and Engineering, Power Electronics, Embedded Systems and VLSI, Machine Design, CAD/CAM and Embedded Systems. Admissions follow Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education rules: 70 per cent of seats are convenor-quota seats filled through AP EAPCET counselling and 30 per cent are management-quota seats filled by direct application. Lateral entry to the second year uses ECET, and M.Tech seats use GATE or PGECET.
