SJB Institute of Technology

SJB Institute of Technology (SJBIT) is an engineering institute in Kengeri, Bengaluru, established in 2001 by the Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust. Its campus at BGS Health and Education City covers 13 acres with a built-up area of 58,967 square metres. The institute is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, and has had autonomous status under VTU since the 2023-24 academic year. It is recognised by the UGC under sections 2(f) and 12(B). NAAC accredited SJBIT at grade A+ (CGPA 3.46) on 21 April 2023, valid up to 20 April 2028. NBA has accredited the Computer Science and Engineering, Information Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering programmes up to 30 June 2027, and the MBA programme up to 31 December 2028.

AICTE approved eight B.E. programmes for 2026-27 with 1,020 seats: Computer Science and Engineering (360), Electronics and Communication Engineering (180), Information Science and Engineering (180), and Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) at 60 seats each. Postgraduate approvals cover MBA (120), MCA (120), M.Tech. Structural Engineering (18) and new M.Tech. programmes in Artificial Intelligence and in Computer Science and Engineering (18 each). Ph.D. programmes run in the engineering departments, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and MBA. Seats are allotted through Karnataka CET counselling, COMEDK, SNQ and management quota, with PGCET for MBA and MCA. The state-approved annual fee for B.E. in 2025-26 was ₹1,13,160.
