A rank is given to candidates who score at least 25% (30 of 120 marks); SC and ST candidates have no minimum. In colleges, first preference goes to candidates qualified in GATE or GPAT in the relevant branch, and the remaining seats are filled by AP PGECET merit rank. Of the seats in each course, 85% are reserved for local candidates and 15% are unreserved, as per the Andhra Pradesh orders for 2026-27. Appearing in the test does not by itself entitle a candidate to admission.
