- An applicant applies for one mode only: M.Tech, or MS/PhD.
- PhD applicants with a high GATE score can be shortlisted directly for interview; a CFTI graduate with a GPA of 7 or more out of 10 can be shortlisted for PhD interviews without PGEE after internal screening.

How to Apply for IIIT Hyderabad PGEE Monsoon 2027

- Log in to the IIIT Hyderabad admissions portal and open Postgraduate, then PGEE-M.Tech or PGEE-MS/PhD. Apply for one mode only.
- Fill the application form and pay the Rs 3,100 application fee (non-refundable).
- Download the admit card when released and take the computer-based exam.
- M.Tech: results and seat-allocation rounds follow. To accept a seat, pay the Rs 10,000 admission fee (non-refundable) plus Rs 2,50,000 first-semester tuition, Rs 2,60,000 in all (2026-27).
- MS by Research and PhD: shortlisted candidates attend a subject interview on campus, and results follow the interviews.
