TNEA college predictor: questions students ask
How does the TNEA college predictor work?
It compares your cutoff with the lowest cutoff that got each college, branch and community seat in TNEA 2026, across rounds 1, 2 and 3 of DoTE's allotment lists. It shows the seats you could take: OC seats, your community's, SC seats for SCA candidates, and the 7.5% seats if you studied in a government school.
What do Good chance, Borderline and Reach mean?
Good chance: Your cutoff was at least one mark above where this seat closed. Borderline: Your cutoff was at or just above where this seat closed: possible, not certain. Reach: This seat closed up to 1.5 marks above your cutoff: worth a choice near the bottom of your list.
How do I work out my TNEA cutoff?
Add your Class 12 Mathematics mark to half your Physics mark and half your Chemistry mark, each out of 100. Maths 95, Physics 90 and Chemistry 88 make 184 out of 200. The predictor can do this for you.
How accurate is the prediction?
It shows where each seat closed in TNEA 2026, when 2,33,812 academic candidates were ranked. Cutoffs move every year with the number of candidates, Class 12 results and the seats colleges add, so use it to plan your choices across all three chances, not only the good ones.
Is the TNEA college predictor free?
Yes. The first time you predict, we ask for your name and mobile number, confirmed with a code on WhatsApp, so a CollegeChalo counsellor can help you with TNEA choice filling if you want.
