About Coimbatore Marine College Coimbatore Coimbatore Marine College - [CMC], Coimbatore was established in 2001. CMC is the first Marine Institute in Coimbatore. It is approved by Director General of Shipping (DGS), Govt. of India and is an ISO 9001:2015 certified institution by Bureau Veritas Premier Marine Institute since 2001. CMC is located on the National Highway, about 12 km away from the railway station and 20 km from the airport. The college has designed a real-time model (T.S Clarissa) to provide a hands-on experience of working in a ship to its students. It has been ranked A1 Grade in CIP by the Indian Registry of Shipping. The main aim of the college is to ensure 100% success of the trainees in the qualifying examination and to follow a professional approach in resolving grievances to maintain a pleasant environment for the students. The college emphasizes on providing goal-oriented, value-added education through the latest technology of international standards. CMC aims at producing skilled professionals with ethical values.
