About Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology
Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology (GRIET) is a private engineering college at Bachupally on Nizampet Road, Hyderabad, established in 1997 by the Gokaraju Rangaraju Educational Society. It is AICTE-approved and permanently affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad. The UGC extended its autonomous status for ten years, from 2021-22 to 2030-31. NAAC accredited the college at A++ with a CGPA of 3.55 on 23 February 2021, valid up to 22 February 2026, and the NBA has accredited six UG and four PG programmes. In NIRF 2025 the college falls in the 151-200 band of the Engineering category.
JNTUH's affiliation letter of 28 January 2026 for 2025-26 lists B.Tech intakes of 600 in computer science and engineering, 300 in its AI and machine learning branch, 210 in data science, 60 each in electronics and communication and computer science and business systems, and 30 each in civil, electrical and electronics, and mechanical engineering, plus M.Tech seats of 12 in CSE and 18 in structural engineering.
