About Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth
Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth is a deemed-to-be university in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Pt. Janardan Rai Nagar founded it as Rajasthan Vidyapeeth on 21 August 1937. The Central Government declared it a deemed university on 12 January 1987, and the UGC's list of deemed universities records it at Airport Road, Pratapnagar, Udaipur. It took its present name in 2003 and works from three campuses in Udaipur, at Pratap Nagar, in the city and at Dabok. Its recognitions include the UGC, AICTE, NCTE, the Bar Council of India, the Pharmacy Council of India and the Indian Nursing Council.
Teaching is organised in constituent faculties, schools and colleges. The Faculty of Science, set up in 2016, offers four-year B.Sc. (Hons.) and three-year B.Sc. degrees and M.Sc. programmes in ten subjects, with at least 48% in Class XII required for the B.Sc. programmes. Other units include the Faculty of Law (B.A. LL.B., LL.B., LL.M.), the Udaipur School of Social Work (M.S.W.), the Department of Pharmacy (B.Pharm, 60 seats), the Department of Physiotherapy (BPT, MPT), R.V. Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital (BHMS, 5.5 years including internship), Lokmanya Tilak Teachers' Training College (B.Ed.), the School of Agricultural Sciences and the Department of Assisted Reproductive Technology and Clinical Embryology.
