Kanpur Institute of Technology

Kanpur Institute of Technology is a technical institute in Rooma, on the Kanpur–Prayagraj highway, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh (A-1, UPSIDC Industrial Area, 208001). It was established in 2004 and, according to its website, was founded by IIT alumni. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, and its programmes are affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow; Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur and the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh also appear in its list of affiliations and approvals. The institute describes itself as autonomous and as the first in Kanpur to receive that status, announces a NAAC grade of A, and states that it holds ISO 9001:2015 certification.

The website lists four-year B.Tech programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Biotechnology, together with Computer Science and Engineering specialisations in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and in Data Science.
