KLS Gogte Institute of Technology

KLS Gogte Institute of Technology is an autonomous engineering institution under Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), located at Udyambag in Belagavi, Karnataka. The Karnatak Law Society, founded in 1939, started it in 1979 after the Government of Karnataka permitted the society to set up an engineering college in Belgaum. The AICTE mandatory disclosure for 2025-26 names VTU as the affiliating university. NAAC accredited the institute at grade A+ in 2016 (CGPA 3.52) and again in December 2022 (CGPA 3.29), valid to December 2027. The NBA has accredited the B.E. programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering up to 2028.

The institute teaches seven four-year B.E. branches (Aeronautical, Civil, Computer Science and Engineering, CSE with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, and Mechanical), a five-year B.Arch, a four-year B.Des with four specialisations, B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and a diploma in interior design. Postgraduate courses are the MBA, the MCA and M.Tech in Machine Design, Digital Communication and Networking, Structural Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering. For B.E. admission, 45% of intake comes through the Karnataka CET, 30% through COMEDK and 25% through the management quota. The 2026-27 fee notice lists a first-year total of Rs 1,40,320 for most B.E. branches under the CET quota.
