About MATS University Raipur Mahaveer Academy of Technology and Science or MATS University Raipur was established in the year 2006. The vision of MATS is to become a world-class center in providing globally relevant education. The university is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC). MATS will be the Global University, known for the quality academic programs and outstanding faculty, products, and services to students and clients independent of place and time constraints. MATS University will be a benchmark institution for lifelong partnerships with students, the workforce, and public and private enterprises. Building on its proud tradition, MATS University will extend educational opportunities to those who will make our state (Chhattisgarh), our nation, and global society a better place to live and work. The college also has an anti ragging cell that manages any kind of ragging or offensive activities happening in the college campus and prohibits it happening. If any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the University Authorities, the concerned student will be given opportunity to explain and if the explanation is not found satisfactory, the authority would expel him from the University without prejudice to the right to proceed legally. Causing, inducing, compelling or forcing a student, whether by way of practical joke or otherwise, to do any act which detracts from human dignity or violates his/her person or exposes him/her to ridicule from doing any lawful act. By intimidating, wrongfully restraining, wrongfully confining, or injuring him or by using criminal force on him/her or by holding out to him/her any threat of intimidation, wrongful confinement, injury or the use of criminal force. They also have a different department for the distance education programmes too. The college has MOUs with international and national companies and educational bodies. MATS university has MATS school for the different departments like MATS school of business studies, MATS school of education, MATS school of arts and humanities, MATS school of law, MATS school of sciences, and lots more. The college also has a specialised students council for the benefit of the students.
