Mohanlal Sukhadia University

Mohanlal Sukhadia University is a state university at Udaipur, Rajasthan, established in 1962 as the University of Udaipur; its Act is listed on the university site as the Mohanlal Sukhadia University Act, 1962 (Act 18 of 1962), and the Udaipur University (Change of Name) Act, 1982 gave it the present name. The university says it serves higher education in southern Rajasthan, an Aravalli region with a large tribal population, and reports more than 2.25 lakh students. NAAC accredited it in the third cycle at grade A (CGPA 3.14) on 27 July 2024, valid to 26 July 2029. Its site lists UGC recognition under sections 2(f) and 12(B), AICTE approval for the Institute of Engineering and Technology and the Faculty of Management Studies, and Bar Council of India and Pharmacy Council of India letters. NIRF 2025 ranked it 64th among pharmacy institutions.

Teaching is organised into faculties of Science, Commerce, Management, Education, Law, Humanities, Social Science, Earth Science, and Engineering and Technology, with over 40 departments plus University Colleges of Science, of Commerce and Management Studies, and of Social Sciences and Humanities. Its 2023-24 list of affiliated colleges has about 100 entries. Programmes listed for 2017-22 include B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., B.Ed., BBA, BCA, B.Pharm., B.Tech., B.Arch., LL.B., M.A., M.Sc., M.Com., MBA, MCA, M.Ed., LL.M., MSW and doctoral degrees. Postgraduate, diploma and certificate admission for 2026-27 ran through online applications, merit lists and counselling at the departments.
