Rathinam Global University, Coimbatore

The university's AICTE mandatory disclosure says Rathinam Global Deemed to be University (formerly Rathinam College of Arts & Science) has been conferred deemed-to-be-university status under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 and awards its own degrees. A university news item dated 13 May 2026 describes the change. It is run by the K. Palaniappa Memorial Educational Trust (checked 20 October 2026).

RGU SAT is the university's own admission test; the AICTE disclosure names the tests as RGUSAT and RGUNAT, and a school page calls it the RGU Common Entrance Test. Candidates register, choose an exam date and are told the merit basis for applying and for a merit scholarship. The 2026 registration last date shown on one school page was 31 August 2026; the 2027 dates, pattern and syllabus are not published (checked 20 October 2026).

The site lists ten schools: Quantum Science, Computing and AI; Engineering and Emerging Technologies; Business and Commerce; Applied Biosciences; Liberal Arts and Science; Media and Performing Arts; Fashion Design; Sports and Health Sciences; Sustainability and Climate Studies; and Law. Programmes include B.Sc., BCA, BBA, B.Com., LL.B., MBA, M.Com., M.Sc., MA and AICTE-listed B.Tech. and M.Tech.

The university publishes no dated fee table: each programme page says fee details will be published as per institutional approval, and the Fee Structure menu item on its older site does not open. The AICTE disclosure lists five institutional scholarships: merit (10% to 20% of tuition on Class 12 marks), class topper (25% to 75% on CGPA), sports, alumni (10% to 20%) and economically backward students (10% to 25%, with an income certificate). It states no session for these.

The NIRF 2026 data of Rathinam College of Arts and Science, for the 2024-25 graduating batch, shows 763 of 1,468 undergraduates and 298 of 574 postgraduates placed, with a median salary of Rs 4,20,000 (UG) and Rs 4,00,000 (PG). The university's placement record for 2024-25 lists 33 companies, 673 offers and a highest salary of 9.00 LPA.

NAAC graded Rathinam College of Arts and Science A++ with CGPA 3.60 in its third cycle, and the college's NIRF 2026 data sheet gives validity from 8 March 2022 to 7 March 2027. The university site says the college ranked among the top 150 institutions in NIRF 2025. A NAAC certificate in the university's own name was not found.

The Rathinam group lists Rathinam Technical Campus (affiliated to Anna University), Rathinam Institute of Management and Rathinam College of Physiotherapy as institutions separate from the university. This page covers the university's own schools and programmes only.

It is at Rathinam Techzone, Pollachi Main Road, Eachanari, Coimbatore 641021, on a campus of about 70 acres shared with a technology park. The AICTE disclosure reports 8 hostels with 437 men and 179 women residents; no hostel fee is published.

Rathinam Global University admits UG and PG students for 2026-27 through its own admission test, RGU SAT (the AICTE disclosure names "RGUSAT and RGUNAT"), followed by an application, merit list and counselling. The site shows admissions open for 2026-27; no 2027-28 schedule or test dates are published (checked 20 October 2026).
