About Sir Padampat Singhania University
Sir Padampat Singhania University (SPSU) is a private university at Bhatewar, Udaipur, Rajasthan, created by the Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur Act, 2008 (Rajasthan Act No. 4 of 2008) and promoted by the JK Cement group. UGC's recognition letters date from 13 April 2009, and a letter of 31 October 2014 recognises it under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. It has been a member of the Association of Indian Universities since July 2013 and is a unitary university with no off-campus centres. NAAC's first assessment, in 2020, gave grade B (CGPA 2.09) for a validity that ended on 10 March 2025.
Academic work sits in the School of Engineering and Sciences (departments of Computing and Informatics, Integrated and Advanced Technology, and Sciences), the School of Management and Liberal Studies, and the Faculty of Law. The 2026-27 list includes B.Tech in computer science and engineering with specialisations such as AI and ML, data science and cyber security, plus electronics and communication, mechanical, civil, mining and biotechnology; BBA, BCA, B.Des and BBA-LLB; and MBA, M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc.
