Vasavi College of Engineering

Vasavi College of Engineering is a private un-aided engineering college at Ibrahimbagh, Hyderabad, founded in 1981 and sponsored by the Vasavi Academy of Education. It is affiliated to Osmania University, approved by AICTE and holds UGC 2(f) and 12(B) status. The UGC and Osmania University granted it autonomy for six years from 2014-15, and the status was extended for ten years from 2021-22 to 2030-31. NAAC accredited it with grade A++ for five years from 2 February 2021, valid up to 1 February 2026. NBA accreditation for the B.E. programmes in Civil, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, and Mechanical Engineering runs to 30 June 2027.

The college offers seven four-year B.E. programmes with a sanctioned intake of 780: Civil (60), Electronics and Communication (180), Mechanical (60), Computer Science and Engineering (180), CSE with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (60), Electrical and Electronics (60) and Information Technology (180). Postgraduate programmes are the M.E. in Embedded Systems and VLSI Design, Advanced Design and Manufacturing, and Power Systems and Power Electronics, and the M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, with a combined intake of 48. The CSE, ECE and Mechanical departments are Osmania University research centres. B.E. seats are filled by the Convener through TG EAPCET counselling (Category A) and by the management (Category B); the 2026-27 fee notice lists a first-year B.E. tuition fee of Rs 1,75,000 for Category A.
