Vidya Vikas Institute of Engineering and Technology (VVIET) is a self-financed engineering college at Alanahally on the Mysuru-Bannur Road, Mysuru, governed by the Vidya Vikas Educational Trust. The college says it was founded in 1997, while the AICTE approval letter for 2026-27 lists 1996 as the year of establishment. It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, and AICTE extended its approval for 2026-27 on 9 April 2026. NAAC accredited the college in June 2019 with a B grade (CGPA 2.57), a certificate that expired on 13 June 2024. The National Board of Accreditation accredited four undergraduate programmes (electronics and communication, computer science, civil and electrical engineering) for 2024-25 to 2026-27, up to 30 June 2027.
