Overview
JIPMAT is the NTA entrance test for the five-year IPM at IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu; dates for the 2027 cycle are not announced yet. The Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and is not on NTA's exam calendar of 16 September 2026. In the 2026 cycle 13,876 candidates registered and 11,527 appeared (83.07%) at 81 centres in 61 cities.

How scores are used
NTA's role is confined to registration, conducting the test, hosting and finalising answer keys, declaring results and score cards, and handing the score data to IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu. The bulletin warns that the two IIMs may have eligibility requirements different from NTA's and asks candidates to check the IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu websites.
How the 2026 cycle ran
NTA extended the 2026 application deadline by three days, from 10 to 13 May, in response to multiple requests from candidates, and moved the fee deadline (11 to 14 May) and the one-time correction window (12-14 May to 15-17 May) by the same three days. The exam date of 7 June 2026 did not change. Admit cards were released on 1 June 2026, six days before the exam, and the result was declared on 24 June 2026, 17 days after it.

- Reservation: Indian nationals in the OBC-NCL, Gen-EWS, SC, ST and PwD/PwBD categories are admitted against reserved seats under Government of India rules.
- SC, ST, PwD/PwBD, Gen-EWS and Transgender candidates pay Rs 1,100 instead of Rs 2,200.
- OCI candidates registered as OCI/PIO before 4 March 2021 are considered against seats for Indian nationals (General category only), following a Supreme Court judgment of 3 February 2023.

- Duration: 150 minutes (3:00 pm to 5:30 pm on 7 June 2026); PwD/PwBD candidates eligible for a scribe get 20 minutes of compensatory time for each hour.
- Marking: 4 marks for a correct answer, 1 mark deducted for a wrong answer, no marks for an unanswered question.
- Medium: English only.
- After answer-key challenges, if a question has more than one correct option or the key changes, only candidates who answered it correctly as per the revised key get the marks; a dropped question carries full marks for all candidates.
- Answering: for each question the candidate chooses one option as the correct one.

How to Apply for JIPMAT 2027
- Open exams.nta.nic.in/jipmat when NTA issues the 2027 notice and read the information bulletin.
- Step 1, registration: register for the online form, note the system-generated application number, create a password and choose a security question.
- Step 2, application form: log in with the application number and fill in personal details, educational qualification, university and programme selection, test paper details and examination cities, then upload the images and documents.
- Pay the fee online by net banking, credit card, debit card or UPI. The confirmation page is generated only after successful payment.
- Use the one-time correction window for the permitted fields (2026: 15 to 17 May); a changed category or PwD/PwBD status can add to the fee.
- Download the admit card from the NTA site once it is released (2026: 1 June).
