CMR Technical Campus

CMR Technical Campus is a private, self-financing engineering and management college at Kandlakoya on Medchal Road, Hyderabad, set up in 2009 by the CMR Technical Education Society. It is permanently affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, recognised by AICTE, and describes itself as UGC autonomous. NAAC awarded an A grade with a CGPA of 3.12 in a certificate dated 30 November 2023, valid up to 31 December 2024. The NBA accredited the CSE and ECE programmes for 2022-23 to 2024-25 and, in a letter of 21 May 2026, the MBA programme up to 31 December 2028. In NIRF 2025 the college falls in the 201-300 band of the Engineering category.

AICTE's approval for 2026-27, issued on 7 May 2026, sanctions 540 seats in computer science and engineering, 480 in its AI and machine learning branch, 240 in data science, 120 in electronics and communication and 60 in a new electronics engineering (VLSI design and technology) course, plus 240 MBA seats and 18 seats each in M.Tech computer science and embedded systems. NIRF 2025 data records a UG intake of 1,020 and 899 graduates in 2023-24, of whom 495 were placed at a median salary of Rs 4.2 lakh and 327 went on to higher studies. B.Tech admission follows the TS EAPCET counselling (code CMRG), with 70% of seats under the convener quota and 30% under the management quota; M.Tech needs a valid GATE score and MBA admits 70% of seats through ICET ranks.
