For 2026-27 the DSU fee page lists, in its 'Others' column, Rs 4,92,000 a year for CSE, Data Science, Cyber Security, CS and Medical Engineering, CS and Technology and AI and Robotics, Rs 5,25,000 for CSE (AI and ML), (AI and Data Science) and (AI), and Rs 4,12,000 for ECE, Mechanical and Aerospace. Candidates ranked on JEE Main, UniGauge or COMEDK pay Rs 4,12,000, Rs 4,35,000 and Rs 3,22,000 for those three groups. Tuition and other fees are not split; hostel is extra.

Yearly fees for 2026-27: BBA Rs 2,12,000 (including library deposit), BCA Rs 2,07,000, B.Com Rs 1,57,000 (Rs 1,87,000 with ACCA, CMA or CA coaching), MBA Rs 6,02,000, B.Pharm Rs 2,82,000 (Rs 2,52,000 through DSAT), B.A. LL.B and BBA LL.B Rs 2,02,000 tuition plus Rs 50,000 other fee, LL.B Rs 1,37,000 plus Rs 40,000. DSAT is the Dayananda Sagar Scholarship Admission Test, a multiple-choice test for B.Pharm, B.A. LL.B, BBA LL.B, M.Tech and MBA; candidates who clear the threshold score are eligible for admission under the scholarship quota. DSU has not published 2027 dates (checked 16 October 2026) and its DSAT page shows no 2026 or 2025 dates. The last dated schedule, in the 2020 FAQ, was 3, 4, 23, 24 and 25 August 2020.

The DSU fee page prices B.Tech seats by rank in JEE Main, UniGauge (printed as Uniguage) or COMEDK, and the admissions page lists Karnataka CET code DSU-E240 and COMEDK code E182. B.Tech eligibility is 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics and one more science subject at 45% (40% for SC/ST and OBC).

For 2026-27 at the Harohalli campus the hostel fee is Rs 1,49,000 for a two-sharing room, Rs 1,39,000 for three-sharing and Rs 1,09,000 for four-sharing (men), and Rs 63,000 for the women's four-bed dormitory. Mess is Rs 90,000 plus Rs 4,500 GST, so hostel and mess come to Rs 1,57,500 to Rs 2,43,500 a year; a Rs 10,000 refundable deposit is extra (the circular's totals per student, Rs 1,67,500 to Rs 2,53,500, include it).

In its NIRF 2026 submission DSU reports 1,251 of 2,150 graduates of 2024-25 placed (58%), with a median salary of Rs 5,00,000 for four-year UG and two-year PG programmes and Rs 4,60,000 for three-year UG programmes. The School of Engineering placement list labelled 2026 batch shows a highest package of Rs 33,00,000 and an average of Rs 6,20,000.

NAAC A+ (Cycle 1, CGPA 3.31) after a visit on 4 to 6 October 2023; the grade sheet states no validity date. DSU is not in the NIRF 2025 or 2024 rank lists for University, Overall, Engineering, Management or Pharmacy, and the NIRF 2026 results were not out on 16 October 2026.

DSU is a state private university, established on 16 May 2014 under the Dayananda Sagar University Act (Karnataka Act No. 20 of 2013) and recognised by the UGC. It is not a deemed university.

The Main Campus is at Devarakaggalahalli, Harohalli, Kanakapura Road, Bengaluru South District 562112, and the City Innovation Campus is at Kudlu Gate, Hosur Road, Bengaluru 560114. A city admissions office is at Kumaraswamy Layout, Bengaluru 560111.

Admission at DSU depends on the programme: B.Tech is by rank in JEE Main, UniGauge or COMEDK; B.Pharm, law, M.Tech and MBA use the university's own DSAT (M.Tech and MBA also Karnataka PGCET); most other programmes admit on Class 12 or degree marks. The 2027 dates are not published (checked 16 October 2026).
