About Tagore Dental College Chennai Tagore Dental College, Tamil Nadu, was started in the year 2007 by Tagore Educational Trust. This college was started under the guidance and leadership, of Prof. J. Mala. In starting they took 100 students to start with. This college is well known for the courses, placements, and facilities offered to its students. It is situated in Vandalur which is 30 Km away from Chennai. Tagore Educational Trust was formed in 1997 by the chairperson Professor M.Mala.,M.A.,M.Phil.,an Educationist and Philanthropist. The Trust is pledged to the noble task of offering state of the art higher education in the field of Medicine, Engineering and Humanities. In keeping with this objective the trust has the following institutions under its banner. This college is spread in 50 acres and has 400 bedded Tagore Medical College as well as a Hospital. The hospitals are fully furnished and are comprised with all the latest equipments. The Dental students out here are trained in Basic Science, Medical and Surgical studies at the Medical College. The college also has Canteen of boy’s and girl’s in the respective hostel. Apart from hostels and canteen they also have well furnished staff quarters, facilities, sports facilities and Gymnasium.
