About Vardhaman College of Engineering
Vardhaman College of Engineering (VCE) is a private autonomous engineering college at Kacharam, Shamshabad, on the Hyderabad outskirts in Ranga Reddy district. The Vardhaman Educational Society, a not-for-profit body, promoted it and it was established in 1999. It is affiliated to JNTUH, approved by AICTE and recognised by the UGC under Sections 2(f) and 12(B), and the college states that its UGC autonomous status is valid up to 2030-31. NAAC accredited it at grade A++ (CGPA 3.58) in the second cycle on 16 March 2021, valid up to 15 March 2026. NIRF 2025 lists it in the 151-200 band of the Engineering category.
The four-year B.Tech programme has eight branches with 1,380 sanctioned seats: Computer Science and Engineering 540, its AI and Machine Learning and Data Science variants 180 each, Information Technology 180, Electronics and Communication 180, Electrical and Electronics 60, and Mechanical and Civil 30 each. Postgraduate programmes are five M.Tech specialisations with six seats each and an MBA with 120 seats. NIRF 2025 data for 2023-24 record 4,765 undergraduate and 91 postgraduate students. B.Tech admission is based on TG EAPCET or JEE Main rank, M.Tech on TG PGECET rank and MBA on TG ICET score.
