Master's degree with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD) from a recognized university. For JRF: Must not be above 31 years of age on the 1st of the month of the exam. No age limit for Assistant Professor eligibility only.

Computer-Based Test. Two papers in a single 3-hour session. Paper 1 (50 questions, 100 marks): Teaching/research aptitude, reasoning, comprehension, divergent thinking, general awareness. Paper 2 (100 questions, 200 marks): Subject-specific. +2 for correct, no negative marking. Total: 300 marks.
