How scores are used

CAT scores give a rank list for each programme. For B.Tech. the score is 4R - W; ties are broken by the marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in that order, then by date of birth (older first). Where scores in more than one test count, a percentile index, [(n+1-p)/n] x S x 100, is used. Rank lists are followed by option registration and allotment, and the schedules are published on the admissions site after the results. In 2026 the site carried CAT rank lists, last-rank details and seat balances.
