Anurag University

Anurag University is a private state university at Venkatapur, Ghatkesar, in Hyderabad's Medchal-Malkajgiri district. It was established in 2020 under the Telangana State Private Universities (Establishment and Regulation) Act, 2018, when an amendment effective 20 May 2020 added it to the Act's schedule. Before that the campus operated as the Anurag Group of Institutions, run by the Gayathri Educational and Cultural Trust. The university's own pages list UGC 2(f) status, AICTE approval, Pharmacy Council of India accreditation for its pharmacy programmes, NBA accreditation, and National Medical Commission accreditation for its medical programmes. In NIRF 2025 it appears in the 151-200 band of the University category and the 101-150 band of Engineering, and ranks 72nd in Pharmacy.

Teaching is organised into schools of Engineering, Agriculture, Management, Pharmacy, Nursing and Medical Sciences, plus Anurag University International College. Engineering offers B.Tech in computer science, AI and machine learning, data science, cyber security, information technology, electronics and communication, electrical and electronics, mechanical and civil engineering, with M.Tech specialisations from structural engineering to VLSI design. Pharmacy covers B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Pharm.D and post-baccalaureate Pharm.D; NIRF 2025 data shows 2023-24 sanctioned intakes of 100, 30, 30 and 10 for those four programmes. Other courses include BBA, MBA, MCA, B.Sc Agriculture, nursing, allied health sciences and doctoral research. Undergraduate entry uses AnuragCET, TS EAPCET or JEE Main scores, while postgraduate entry uses GATE, GPAT, TS ICET, PGECET or the university's own evaluation.
