Erode Sengunthar Engineering College

Erode Sengunthar Engineering College (ESEC) is a private, self-financing engineering college at Thudupathi, Perundurai taluk, Erode district, Tamil Nadu. AICTE's records show it was established in 1995 and is run by the Erode Sengunthar Educational Trust (permanent ID 1-5768853). The college is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, with seven undergraduate programmes permanently affiliated, and describes itself as autonomous. NAAC accredited it at grade A (CGPA 3.01) on 4 December 2018 with validity to 31 December 2024; a NAAC letter of 13 January 2025 says the grade continues until three months after the maturity-based grading system is launched. The college site publishes NBA accreditation letters for several undergraduate programmes, the latest dated 7 January 2026.

For 2025-26 AICTE approved 17 B.E./B.Tech branches with 1,440 seats, including Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Biomedical, Biotechnology, Agricultural, Robotics and Automation, and Computer Science and Design. A five-year integrated M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, an MBA, an MCA and M.E./M.Tech courses in areas such as Structural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Power Electronics and Drives and Industrial Safety complete the list. First-year B.E./B.Tech admission runs through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling, with a separate lateral-entry route; MBA applicants need a bachelor's degree with 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for reserved categories) and a TANCET score or a consortium common entrance test.
