About Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) is the state technological and affiliating university of Telangana, with its main campus at Kukatpally, Hyderabad. The university traces itself to Nagarjuna Sagar Engineering College (1965), became a technological university on 2 October 1972, and was reconstituted as JNTU Hyderabad in 2008 under State Legislature Act No. 30. NAAC awarded an A+ grade (CGPA 3.32) in 2024, after A grades in 2017 and 2004. NIRF 2025 ranks it 94th in Engineering; its NIRF data file reports 1,620 sanctioned UG and 720 PG seats for 2023-24, 5,922 UG and 1,440 PG students, 501 faculty members and 317 doctoral scholars.
University College of Engineering, Science & Technology Hyderabad at Kukatpally runs B.Tech in 11 branches (60 seats each, 30 in Geo Informatics), two five-year B.Tech+M.Tech dual-degree programmes, and M.Tech, M.Pharmacy and M.Sc courses through its science and technology centres. University College of Management Hyderabad offers MBA and BBA (Data Analytics), the University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Sultanpur offers B.Pharmacy and M.Pharmacy, and other constituent colleges are at Jagtial, Manthani, Rajanna Sircilla, Wanaparthy, Mahabubabad and Palair. As the state affiliating university it also affiliates engineering, pharmacy, MBA and MCA colleges across Telangana, whose approved courses the university publishes.
