The Ponniamman Educational Trust and the TJ Educational Trust created Thangavelu Engineering College in 1995 to create engineers and technocrats of the highest possible calibre. A spectacular need for trained engineers in all fields has arisen as a result of the quick advances that our nation has achieved in the realm of science and technology.
