About Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering
Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering (YCCE) is an unaided engineering college on Hingna Road, Wanadongri, Nagpur, started in 1984 by the Nagar Yuwak Shikshan Sanstha, a trust registered in 1971. It is affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University and works as an empowered autonomous college; the University Grants Commission extended its autonomous status for ten years, from 2022-23 to 2031-32. NAAC accredited the college at grade A++ (CGPA 3.60) in May 2022, with the certificate valid up to 16 May 2027, and the NIRF 2025 India Rankings place it in the 151-200 band of the Engineering category. AICTE approved its programmes for 2026-27 on 5 May 2026.
The college offers 13 B.Tech. programmes, covering civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics, electronics and telecommunication, information technology and several computer-based branches (Computer Technology, Computer Science and Engineering with IoT and AI/ML variants, Computer Science and Design, and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science). Their combined sanctioned intake for 2026-27 is 1,740 seats. Six M.Tech. programmes (Structural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Integrated Power System, Data Sciences, Automation and Robotics, VLSI Design) and a 120-seat MBA started in 2023 complete the list. B.Tech. seats are filled through the Maharashtra Centralized Admission Process on MHT-CET 2026 scores, with JEE Main accepted from all-India candidates, and M.Tech. admission uses GATE scores. For 2025-26 the Fee Regulatory Authority approved first-year tuition of ₹1,52,174 for B.Tech.
