How ranks are used
Candidates are ranked on their marks, and separately in each engineering branch. The qualifying score is 25% of the aggregate (50 of 200 marks); SC and ST candidates have no minimum. Engineering ties are broken by marks in the engineering subject, then Mathematics, then Physics, then age. All qualified diploma holders in any engineering or technology branch are eligible for B.Tech. in Information Technology and in Computer Science and Engineering, using the Integrated Merit Rank. B.Sc. (Mathematics) candidates are considered for lateral-entry seats only after all qualified diploma holders. Requests for re-totalling or revaluation are not entertained.
