How scores are used

Candidates are ranked by marks in the test. Ties are broken in this order: subject and content marks, Teaching Aptitude, General English, General Knowledge and Educational Issues, then Computer Awareness; older candidates are preferred among bracketed ranks. The qualifying score is 25% of the aggregate, rounded to 38 marks; SC and ST candidates need no minimum for ranking but need 38 marks to claim a seat under the NCC, sports, physically handicapped or armed-personnel quotas. Because the test ran in several sessions, a normalisation process adjusts for differences in difficulty. In each methodology 85% of seats are reserved for local candidates of the Osmania University area and 15% are unreserved. A rank is valid only for 2026-27 admission.
