Nandha Engineering College

Nandha Engineering College (NEC) is a self-financing engineering college on the Erode-Perundurai main road at Vaikkalmedu, Erode, Tamil Nadu. Sri Nandha Educational Trust, founded in 1992, started it in 2001 with an intake of 150 in three programmes: B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering, B.E. Computer Science and Engineering and B.Tech. Information Technology. The college is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, and its site lists AICTE approvals up to 2026-27. The UGC conferred autonomous status in August 2012 and in September 2023 extended it for ten years, 2023-24 to 2032-33. NAAC accredited it at grade A+ (CGPA 3.38) in November 2022, valid to November 2027. The college's AICTE disclosure lists NBA accreditation for eight programmes, valid to 30 June 2027 or 2028.

About 4,015 students study in 12 engineering and technology departments, Computer Applications, Management Studies and Basic Science and Humanities. The 2026-27 course list has 12 B.E./B.Tech. programmes with 1,080 seats, led by Computer Science and Engineering (240) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (180). The other branches are Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical, Civil, Agricultural, Chemical and Biomedical Engineering, and two Computer Science variants (Cyber Security; Internet of Things). Postgraduate programmes are M.E. Computer Science and Engineering, an MBA (from 2005) and an MCA (from 2006). B.E./B.Tech. admission is by TNEA counselling rank (counselling code 2715); diploma holders and B.Sc. mathematics graduates can enter the third semester.
