Overview

CA Final is ICAI's last exam level for the CA course; the November 2026 exams run from 2 to 13 November 2026 and their online forms closed on 5 August 2026. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) conducts it in two groups of three papers each, 600 marks in all. Group I is on 2, 4 and 6 November 2026 and Group II on 9, 11 and 13 November 2026. The forms opened on 6 July 2026 and were re-opened with a late fee from 1 to 5 August 2026. Qualifying both groups is the last step before a candidate becomes an ICAI member under the scheme of education and training. ICAI's January 2027 dates and fee notices list Foundation and Intermediate only, so no Final form dates for January 2027 are announced yet.

Passing requirements and what follows

A group is passed by scoring at least 40% in each paper and 50% of the group's total at one sitting. Both groups can also be passed together, either with 40% in each paper and 50% in each group, or with 40% in each paper and 50% of the two groups' total taken together. A candidate can pass the two groups at different sittings. The scheme of education and training ends with qualifying both Final groups and becoming a member of ICAI.

  • Papers 1 to 5: 30 marks are compulsory multiple-choice questions (case-scenario based, 1 or 2 marks each, four options, no choice) and 70 marks are descriptive; 3 hours. No negative marking.
  • Paper 6: open-book case-study paper of 4 hours with five case studies of 25 marks each, of which four are attempted. Each case study has 10 marks of multiple-choice questions and 15 marks of descriptive questions, so MCQs are 40% of the paper.
  • Passing: at least 40% in each paper and 50% of the group's total at one sitting.
  • Language: answers can be written in English or Hindi; the Hindi option is chosen in the application form and applies group by group.

Paper 1: Financial Reporting (100 marks)

  • General purpose financial statements and the conceptual framework under Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS)

  • Part I, GST (80 marks): CGST and IGST law, with case studies on supply, charge of tax, exemption, place, time and value of supply, input tax credit and GST liability; registration, invoices, credit and debit notes and other procedures
  • Part II, Customs and Foreign Trade Policy (20 marks): Customs Act, 1962 and Customs Tariff Act, 1975; Foreign Trade Policy

Paper 6: Integrated Business Solutions (100 marks)

  1. Log in to the Self Service Portal (SSP) at eservices.icai.org; candidates without a login create one first.
  2. Check the Final course code (NEWFIN23 or CONFIN23), the articleship status and the uploaded photograph and signature.
  3. Confirm that Advanced ICITSS (by 10 October 2026) and the self-paced module requirements are met.
  4. Fill in the exam form (6 to 19 July 2026; late fee until 22 July; re-opened 1 to 5 August 2026): select one or both groups, the centre and, if wanted, the Hindi option.
  5. Pay the fee online and confirm that the exam form PDF is generated; fix errors in the correction window (23 to 25 July 2026).
  6. Download the admit card from eservices.icai.org when ICAI posts it.
