JEE Main 2027 City Intimation Slip and Admit Card
NTA first tells you the city of your exam in a city intimation slip, then releases the admit card with the exact centre, date and shift. Both are downloaded from jeemain.nta.nic.in with your application number and password; nothing is sent by post. In 2026 the Session 1 city slip was planned for the first week of January, and admit cards came 3 to 4 days before each exam date.
What to carry to the exam centre
- The admit card printed on A4 paper, with the self-declaration (undertaking) filled in
- One passport-size photograph, the same as the one uploaded in the form, for the attendance sheet
- An original, valid photo ID: school ID, PAN card, voter ID, passport, Aadhaar or e-Aadhaar with photo, Class 12 admit card with photo, or bank passbook with photo
- The PwD/PwBD certificate, if you claim relaxation
- A simple transparent ball point pen
Reach the centre two hours early. Entry, frisking and document checks run from 7:00 to 8:30 am for the morning shift and from 1:00 to 2:30 pm for the afternoon shift, and late arrivals are not let in. Not allowed: instruments, geometry or pencil boxes, bags, any paper or written material, food and water, phones, earphones, calculators, watches with calculators, and other metal or electronic items. Rough sheets are given at the centre.
If the admit card won't download or shows a wrong detail, call the NTA helpline (011-40759000, 10 am to 5 pm) and take the downloaded admit card to the exam.
