Deogiri College

Deogiri College is an autonomous college in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (formerly Aurangabad), Maharashtra, run by the Marathwada Shikshan Prasarak Mandal and established on 22 June 1960. It is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, and the University Grants Commission conferred autonomous status on it for ten years, from 2023-24 to 2032-33. NAAC re-accredited the college in its fourth cycle with an A++ grade (CGPA 3.59), valid from 26 October 2022 to 25 October 2029. The college also holds the UGC status of College with Potential for Excellence and is certified under ISO 21001:2018.

The 2026-27 information brochure lists programmes under NEP 2020 in four groups. Humanities and Social Sciences covers the B.A. and M.A. (English, Marathi, Hindi, History, Sociology, Political Science, Psychology, Music). Commerce and Management covers B.Com., B.B.A., B.C.A. in Management, M.Com. and M.B.A. Science and Technology covers B.Sc. in general and in Information Technology, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Forensic Science, Data Science and Medical Laboratory Technology, M.Sc. in 13 subjects, B.C.A. (Science) and M.C.A. Skill-oriented B.Voc. courses form the fourth group. Undergraduate degrees run three years (six semesters) or four years (eight semesters) with multiple entry and exit options; postgraduate courses run two years.
