How ranks and scores are used
Candidates are ranked in order of merit. AP LAWCET ties are resolved by Part C marks, then Part B marks; a remaining tie is bracketed and age seniority is considered at admission. AP PGLCET ranks follow total marks, with Part A marks considered next. Qualifying marks are 35% (42 of 120) for AP LAWCET and 25% (30 of 120) for AP PGLCET; SC and ST candidates have no minimum. An AP LAWCET rank is valid for the 2026-27 academic year only. The Convener conducts the test and does not make admissions or allot seats; colleges are allotted by rank under the admission process. Passing the test gives no right to admission unless the eligibility criteria are met. An objection to the preliminary key costs Rs 300 per question and is refunded only if the objection is valid.
