About Energy Management Course

Energy Management Course 2023 Energy management involves the study of the production of energy through natural resources, such as the extraction of oil and gas, as well as from renewable or sustainable sources of energy, that also includes biofuels, solar power,hydro, and wind. BE/B.Tech in Energy Management is a 4-year program.Energy engineers are also given education on how to find efficient, clean and innovative ways to supply energy.

Theor day to day work roles include designing and testing machinery; developing ways of improving existing processes; converting, transmitting and supplying useful energy to meet our needs for electricity. One can also go for doing M.Tech in Energy Management after successful completion of BE/B.Tech.

Everything related to planning and operation of energy production and energy consumption units as well as energy distribution and storage is included in this course. It is a branch of science that involves planning to reduce the cost involved in the production of energy but still producing enough energy that is required to satiate consumer's demand. 

To become an energy manager, the candidates will have to be a Certified Energy Manager and Certified Energy Auditor that could be obtained by passing the National Level Certification Examination, which will be conducted under the aegis of Bureau of Energy Efficiency.

The role of an energy manager is to monitor and manage the energy efficiency of a facility or organization. Other things they have to keep looking on are conservation measures, monitor energy consumption, assess business decisions for sustainability and seek out opportunities for increasing energy efficiency.

You can either become an energy manager in this field or an energy auditor. An energy manager manages to supply energy according to the demand. An energy auditor reviews the supplied energy and review the system.

Energy Management Course Eligibility 

For UG: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with minimum qualifying marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. Independent entrance tests are also held by the various state, central, and private universities which mostly require 50% as the prerequisite to appear for the test.

For PG: Candidates must hold a degree in Bachelor of Engineering/B.Tech in Energy Management along with a good score in entrance tests held for PG program held by the various state, central, and private universities.
