Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Course 2023 The study of minerals, their processing and their transformation is taught in this course and it is one of the core branches of engineering. The different concepts like mechanical behaviour, physical metallurgy, thermodynamics, kinetics etc. are taught in this course.
The focus of the Metallurgical engineers are on the production of metals, metallic parts and the properties of those materials.
The students are taught about the extraction of metal from minerals, wastes and recycled materials, the design of metallic materials that possess desired mechanical, physical and chemical properties and the production of components from selected metals and alloys.
