About Nuclear Engineering Course

Nuclear Engineering Course 2023 Nuclear engineering is an engineering discipline that prepares the students to take up careers in the field of low-energy nuclear physics. In the nuclear energy program, students are taught about the fundamentals of nuclear processes such as radiation measurement, their production, and interactions.

Students also get to learn about radiation treatment and imaging for medical and industrial applications as well as radiation detection and measurement. Students acquire knowledge about the execution of plans with an aim to make the nuclear reactors more efficient and effective.

Nuclear Engineering Scope

The Indian government is taking up all possible steps to increase installed nuclear capacity and use it for the production of power also as the present government is aiming to provide power to all households by 2022. Nuclear engineers are engaged in the designing, construction as well as the operation of nuclear reactors. They play a vital role in determining how radiation and radioactive materials could be used for industrial, medical and scientific purposes.

Nuclear engineers play an important role in designing and creating the processes, instrumentation, equipment and systems that contain nuclear materials used in different kinds of industries. Nuclear engineers are increasingly employed to oversee the construction of nuclear power plants and ensure that the nuclear reactor being correctly installed. They also see that nuclear fuel is loaded properly.
