This field is a sub branch of Chemical Technology. It comes under the chemical engineering. Oil and paint media and paint application are the two main areas of paint technology.

This makes sure that chemical technology is a part of engineering but in a very diverse niche. Paint Technology deals with the application, constitution and its usage.

Paint Technology Eligibility

For UG Course: The candidates must have completed class12th from a renowned university from science stream with a minimum of 50% marks.

For PG Course: The candidates must have completed UG course from a renowned university in the same field.

The candidates must have cleared some state level or national level exams like MHT CET and JEE Main.

There are definitely some colleges and institutions in the country that grant admission to Paint Technology candidates based on their performance at the Senior Secondary/ 10+2 level.

This is a strict merit level admission criteria followed in many colleges where the students do not have to give any entrance exam. Students might even get scholarships at these colleges based on their Senior Secondary performances.
